We are offering an after purchase warranty for all handmade goodies and all surfboards we manufacture, which is a limited warranty against any defect in workmanship or materials, to the original purchaser, covering 2 years from initial purchase.

Requirements

  • Claims will only be processed for the original purchaser.

  • Photos of the board which clearly show the defect(s).

  • Production number located at the bottom of the board

  • Proof of purchase with date of purchase clearly visible.

  • Returned products must be accompanied with the original receipt of the purchase otherwise they will be automatically refused.

Jabali will determine if falls under the warranty guidelines after information is submitted or product has been received by Jabali. Credit will be issued or replacement will be send after the product is deemed defective at the manufacturing and or construction level.

Wear & tear and other exclusions

Jabali limited time warranty does not cover the following:

  • Damage due normal wear and tear.

  • Punctures and/or previous repairs performed by other than Jabali

  • Damage due improper care, handling or storage.

  • Damage due to excessive heat exposure including direct sunlight, extended amount of time in car and/or board bag.

  • Damage or breakage caused by waves, rocks or falling in surf conditions.

  • Damage caused by anything other than defects in material and/or workmanship.

Consequential damages or loss

Jabali disclaim any liability for injury, death, property damage or other loss or damage suffered by any person as a a consequence of the use of our surfboards.

Taking care

Surfboards will develop natural wear and tear and the materials may breakdown over time. Taking good care of your board can help extend its life. Please take note of the following tips:

  • Open the vent or take out the ventscrew immediately when getting out of the water

  • Do not leave your surfboard in the sun, in a board bag, in or on top of a car, as the heat produced may cause pressure differences and de-laminate the surfboard.

  • Wash off salt water and keep your surfboard clean and dry when not in use.

  • Remove the wax frequently to check for damage and replace with fresh wax.

  • Repair cracks or dings immediately. Fibreglass and wood absorb moisture if not sealed.

  • Buy a quality boardbag. The plastic in poor quality board bags can migrate to the surface of the board, leaving blotches that cannot be easily removed.

  • Some materials and substances including ponchos and sun screens may affect surfboard coatings and wax, leaving hand stains.

  • Surfboards break or damage, often in small waves or on rocky shores. Do not ride the board into the sand or in heavy shore-breaks.

  • Always use a good quality surf leash to lessen loose boards causing damage to your board and other surfers and boards.

Return and refund of goodies and surfboards

There will be no credit given on order price difference, due to price drops. Please select carefully at the time when you place your order. There are no returns on custom order or personalised surfboards. Return for other products for partial refund will only be accepted within 14 days of you receiving the goods and if accompanied with a statement of your withdrawal from the purchase.

Returned goods must be in its original condition and include all the original packaging. Goods cannot have been waxed, used, soiled or damaged by the customer. Shipping and handling cost are not refundable. This return for refund policy is applicable for change of mind, and lack of expertise for use of product. You must pay all cost associated with the return shipping.

Any incorrect, missing or damaged items received must be reported to Jabali within 14 days of you receiving the delivery. This can only be done by E-mail. If item(s) received is not what was ordered please do not open the sealed package in which it was sent. Any attempt to use the incorrect item will be deemed to be acceptance by the customer of the item(s) as a satisfactory substitute for the one that was ordered and no further claim can be raised thereafter.
